What does "OK boomer" mean?
According to Dictionary.com, "OK boomer" is a viral internet slang phrase used, often humorously or ironically, to call out or dismiss out-of-touch or close-minded opinions associated with the baby boomer generation and older people more generally.
According to Know Your Meme, we can trace back the origin of the phrase as early as April 2018 as a hashtag in response to tweets criticizing both Gen Z and Millennials.
In earlier news, New Zealand politician ChlΓΆe Swarbrick even dropped the phrase in response to being heckled during her speech that made the phrase spiked again in popularity through memes.

Meanwhile, in twitterverse:
boomers: *years of “safe space,” “snowflake,” & “participation trophy” shit-talking from the people who destroyed affordable housing & education & sent later generations to fight the Forever Wars*— π±π°ππ― ππ’π π¨π’π± ππ‘ππͺπ° (@BecketAdams) November 6, 2019
gen-x, millennials, & zoomers: ok, boomer
boomers: this is literally a hate crime
"Ok, boomer" is similar to "Men are thrash" in the way that it's obviously not a literal blanket generalization, and shouldn't be regarded as such.— Jaia Yap (@jaiayap) November 7, 2019
Rather, it's a criticism against a particular attitude and way of thinking—also enabled and supported by privilege.

What do people think of the term?
Some older people might find it offensive, but let's be honest term is pretty funny. However, LET'S BE CLEAR: the "ok, boomer" clap back is only used for people who are being rude, ignorant, condescending and insulting to the younger generation. It is not aimed to be used otherwise to hurt people's sentiments.
