Hi-Cool Celebrates its 40th Anniversary

Hi-Cool Engineering, an ESCO (Energy Service Company) accredited by the Department of Energy and air conditioning provider for many of the country’s shopping malls, business high rises, hotels, schools, industrial facilities and government buildings, recently held its 40th anniversary at the posh Peninsula Manila.

Through its exclusive partnership with Hitachi, a global leader in air conditioning technology, Hi-Cool has designed, managed, and maintained sustainable cooling systems for several public and private enterprises.

To mark fruitful years of collaboration with many of the country’s captains of industry, the HVAC firm paid tribute to its partners by entitling their milestone: “Hi-Cool 40th Anniversary Honoring Tycoons & Entrepreneurs.”

Hi-Cool had commissioned Filipino visual artist, Celeste Lecaroz, to create 40 spectacular paintings of these business icons in the “Spontarealismus” style, a color-infused and texture-laden fusion of realism and abstract art, and put these on display at The Pen’s Rigodon Ballroom during the celebration.

One featured business leader was that of industrialist William Gatchalian, founder of the Wellex Group, a conglomerate with diversified holdings in hotels and casinos, real estate, petrochemicals, mining, investments, and others.

Flanking the mural of Gatchalian are (from left:) Hi-Cool Marketing Head Theresa Acedillo Lapuz, one of the evening’s guests of honor and son of William, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, and Hi-Cool Chairman Conrado P. Acedillo.
