The Weeknd Registered A New Song Called “Like Selena”

Here’s what to look forward on The Weeknd.

It looks  like The Weeknd is yet to sing another song for Selena. We just don’t know which Selena.

Music publishing organizations ASCAP and BMI shared that the singer recently registered a track titled “Like Selena,” produced by Abe Arnold.

If you don’t remember, Selena and The Weeknd  dated for 10 months in 2017 before they split in October of that year.

“Call Out My Name” is the first track from The Weeknd that seems to be about Selena Gomez.

It says, “I almost cut a piece of myself for your life,” he sings on the My Dear Melancholy, track. That may refer to Gomez’s kidney transplant in the summer of 2017.

He then again mentioned another Selena in one of his 2016 hit “Party Monster,” the lyrics goes: “Like Selena, ass shaped like Selena.”

The Weeknd is reported to drop new tracks this week “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless.”

In his tweet he teased:

Things You Need to Consider When Buying or Wearing Clothes

I know some of you will say, in this day and age, I can wear whatever I want, and you’re absolutely right! Today, you can wear whatever you want at the same time, you can download food from the Internet, or you can rob a bank. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

It’s very important for a man to dress in a way that makes him look as attractive as possible. But sometimes men wear things that can ruin their whole style. As a man looking to improve your style, there are a lot of things you need to consider when purchasing and wearing clothes, and in today’s article, we will look at some of these factors.

Consider The Pros and Cons

Statement tees are either a hit or a miss. It’s one common mistake that men do in search of personal style. We see a stamen shirt that we think it’s cool, not realizing and thinking it through. Slogan T-shirts have a time and a place. Re-calibrate whether the shirt fits the occasion, and the text doesn’t offend people. Style reflects your personality and with a bad statement shirt? You wouldn't want to be judged by it.

Do Not Over Do

We all have our go-to brands and designers and it’s not bad to invest in them but LARGE LOGOS ON CLOTHING makes you look like you’re trying too hard.

Remember this: You are not a walking billboard for a brand advertisement.

Keep it simple. Never buy designer clothing just for branding. Your clothes should fit well and suit your style.

The Size Matters

We’ve seen our favorite rap artist or hip-hop group strut the look, but ask yourself, does it fit you? Avoid baggy jeans at all costs alongside wearing jeans lower than your hips, showing your choice of underwear for the day isn’t stylish at all.

Giraffes have been added to the list of endangered animals.

Humans have done it again. We F*cked It All Up. Three subspecies of giraffes have been added to the list of endangered animals.

This means that they’re now under the threat of extinction, and it’s mainly due to humans destroying their habitats.

Over the last three decades, 40% of giraffe population have declined according to a new  report by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

As a result, the subspecies were moved from “Least Concern” to “Vulnerable” now. Making it to “The Red List” of Threatened Species.

Currently, two of the nine giraffe subspecies—the Kordofan and Nubian—are critically endangered, while the Reticulated is endangered. Now, after a recent assessment, the Masai subspecies has also been listed as endangered.

There’s A New Pokémon Based On Dead Coral.

okay, humans even fucked up the pokemon world big time.

The latest generation of Corsola in Pokémon Sword and Shield is a "ghost" type that was "wiped out" due to sudden climate change.

A new character appears in the Pokemon Sword and Shield called Cursola, a ghost version of the once vibrant Corsola.

Well,Corsola, first appeared in the 1999 generation of the franchise and has appeared in various versions ever since.

According to the Pokedex:

Corsola's branches glitter very beautifully in seven colors when they catch sunlight. If any branch breaks off, this Pokémon grows it back in just one night.”

But this month’s highly anticipated games in Pokémon features a "ghost" type Pokemon that was "wiped out" due to sudden climate change.

According to the new story, the new Pokemon is the product of runaway climate change and the coral bleaching that came with it.

The coral reefs of the Philippines—the second-largest in Southeast Asia—support hundreds of species of corals and fish.Already endangered by direct human activity, these reefs are under additional pressure from global warming.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Lover’ Is Grammys’ Biggest Snub.

Taylor Swift’s Lover might be resting somewhere Cornelia street right now after being snubbed by #Grammys for album of the year.

Over the past decade, Swift has become one of pop’s most promising singer-songwriter. Swift’s seventh album was the biggest-selling and most divisive album of 2019 — but #Grammys doesn’t seem to agree.

Since its release, Swift’s seventh album has kept a deserved hold on the pop narrative and winning award and topping charts every now and then.

Even though Taylor Swift has 3 #GRAMMYs  nominations this year,

•Song of the Year - #Lover

•Best Pop Vocal Album- Lover

•Best Pop Solo Performance - You Need To Calm Down

Fans still thinks Swift deserves better.

Socks and Sandals Are The New Bad Boys

Socks and sandals. Boy, imagine that! For years, we have dismissed the combo as a fashion epic fails in all categories. The socks with sandals? It's typically associated with a button-down dad on a family vacation—not a man of style. But because the world is vast and fashion is an exciting place—socks and sandals are now certified "in" in the fashion world.

The fashion industry is always prone to changing and evolving—especially for how men get dressed. It's not a lack of imagination or creativity; that's how fashion works. It might not be trendy today but watch out for tomorrow. Look at the chunky sneaker trend or any of the other crazy trends in the last few years that have grown rapidly.

Scream Queens Might Be Returning for Season 3

I have a love and hate relationship with Ryan Murphy's Screem Queens.

Let’s admit it, The first season was good
but the final episode was truly terrible for a finale. Same goes with the second season with a terrible plot and all that.

But it seems like we will be seeing light for the Scream Queens Franchise.

Murphy have been playing around with the idea of rebooting the short-lived series and is currently teasing around with the idea of either rebooting the show as a six-episode limited series or a catch-up movie. Earlier this week he shared that the original cast including Emma Roberts, Lea Michelle, Jamie Lee Curtis, Abigail Breslin, and Billie Lourd are all in for it.

Murphy said:

I would have to say that the answer to that lies in the studio who made it. Obviously I work for Netflix now, but if I could do anything to bring it back. Emma said she would do it, Lea Michelle said she would do it, Jamie Lee Curtis, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd are all in. So it would depend if Fox wants to do it. I think we’d all do it. I think we’re waiting for them to call us. I know the show is very popular and had a real spike in popularity on Hulu. That was another one when we were making it; I don’t know if time has caught up to it, or it takes a while for people to get things, but yes, I’d be up for it. The fans should write Fox and say they want this, Fox Studios and the network.

The Virgin Labfest, the festival of “unpublished, unstaged, untested and untried” plays is set to bring its first run to Cagayan de Oro City from December 4 to 7, 2019.

In partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the Liceo de Cagayan University, the Extra Virgin Labfest will feature nine one-act works, which has been meticulously selected and curated from the manuscripts submitted by regional playwrights.

For its opening salvo on December 4, 7pm, Extra VLF presents a back-to-back performance of Dominique Beatrice T. La Victoria’s “Ang Bata sa Drum,” which will be directed by Tat Soriano, and Maynard Manansala’s “Dalawang Gabi,” directed by Hobart Savior.

Featured in the 12th edition of VLF, “Ang Bata sa Drum” follows the story of a young boy who finds comfort inside a drum after he is punished by his father.

“Dalawang Gabi,” meanwhile, tells of two separate encounters between a middle-aged teacher and her former student which happen two years apart.  The play was presented in the 11th edition of VLF.

The “extra virgin” plays are divided into four sets.

Presented on December 5, Set A includes: Gil Nambatac’s “Si Balaw ug ang Lablab sa Palawpaw,” directed by Roland Rivera; Darren Bendanillo’s “Banga,” directed by Zip Mercado de Guzman; and Norman Isla’s “Daang Papunta, Daang Pabalik,” directed by Pepito Sumayan.

In “Si Balaw ug ang Lablab sa Palawpaw,” the arrival of foreign invaders disturbs the lives of the indigenous community in Palaopao, Bukidnon.

“Banga” follows the story of a refugee from Zamboanga as she attempts to cross a checkpoint manned by a brutish soldier. “Daang Papunta, Daang Pabalik” is about two siblings who are caught in a rift between the military and the rebels in a war-torn region in Mindanao.

Set B, to be shown on December 6, is composed of: Mario Lendel Barinque’s “Ang Mga Babae sa Kusina,” directed by Denise ‘Honey’ Aguilar and Jesus Christopher Salon; Jim Raborar’s “Bulan,” directed by Tat Soriano and Aldren Alferez’s “Crystal Clear,” directed by Maia Poblete.

“Ang Mga Babae sa Kusina” is the story of a househelp who remembers the children she had raised in her last hours on earth.  “Bulan” is the tale of five teachers in Sitio Bolol, Brgy. Asuncion, Koronadal City who try to break a curse.  In “Crystal Clear,” a teacher tries to clear her name from a violation she allegedly committed against her students.

The festival continues on December 7 with Set C, consisted of: Angelo Dabbay’s “Pultahan,” directed by Hobart Savior and Kenneth Sabijon; Reil Benedict Obinque’s “Act of Contrition,” directed by Anito Librando and Jet Paclar; and Karlwinn Paitan’s “Unsay Koneksyon sa Iring,” directed by Felimon Blanco.

“Pultahan” tells about a confused man as he struggles to open a door that does not budge in a mysterious room with an unknown companion.  “Act of Contrition” revolves around a young man who confronts a priest after experiencing trauma in the past.  After stray cats enter their home, a minor accident leads the family to reveal their secrets in “Unsay Koneksyon sa Iring?”

Established in 2005, the Virgin Labfest aims to provide Filipino playwrights a venue to present their unpublished, untried, untested and unstaged works to the theater-going public. For the past 15 years, Virgin Labfest has redefined the theater scene with the staging of untried, untested and unstaged remarkable works by emerging and established playwrights, and started a renaissance of theater art appreciation among the Filipino audiences.

Taylor Swift Reveals Scooter Braun And Scott Borchetta BANNED Her From Her Own Music

If you think the feud between Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun is over? Think Again.

Taylor took to Twitter on Thursday, her disappointment as she penned a lengthy statement saying that Braun, who owns her former record label, Big Machine, as well as Scott Borchetta, who runs the label, are banning her from performing her older hits at the American Music Awards later this month.

You can read the letter in its entirety below.

Guys — It’s been announced recently that the American Music Awards will be honouring me with the Artist of the Decade Award at this year’s ceremony. I’ve been planning to perform a medley of my hits throughout the decade of the show. Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun have now said that I’m not allowed to perform my old songs on television because they claim that would be re-recording my music before I’m allowed to next year.
Additionally — an this isn’t the way I had planned on telling you this news— Netflix has created a documentary about my life for the past few years. Scott and Scooter have declined the use of my older music or performance footage for this project, even though there is no mention of either of them or Big Machine Records anywhere in the film.
Scott Borchetta told my team that they’ll allow me to use my music only if I do these things: If I agree to not re-record copycat versions of my songs next year (which is something I’m both legally allowed to do and looking forward to) and also told my team that I need to stop talking about him and Scooter Braun.
I feel very strongly that sharing what is happening to me could change the awareness level for other artists and potentially help them avoid a similar fate. The message being sent to me is very clear. Basically, be a good little girl and shut up. Or you will be punished. This is WRONG. Neither of these men had a hand in the writing of these songs. They did nothing to create the relationship I have with my fans. So this is where I am asking for your help.
Please let Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun know how you feel about this. Scooter also manages several artists who I really believe care about other artists and their work. Please ask them for help with this – I’m hoping that maybe they can talk some sense into the men who are exercising tyrannical control over someone who just wants to play the music she wrote. I’m especially asking for help from The Carlyle Group, who put up money for the sale of my music to these two men.
I just want to be able to perform MY OWN music. That’s it. I’ve tried to work this out privately through my team but have not been able to resolve anything. Right now my performance at the AMA’s, the Netflix documentary and any other recorded events I am planning to play until November of 2020 are a question mark.
